San Diego Fun!

Drew is so excited to run into the surf, he doesn't even care if he leaves his pants behind!

We are so lucky to have family in beautiful San Diego. Grandad and Jennifer live very close to Del Mar beach. After our time in Disneyland, we went south to get some much needed relaxation by the beach.

For Drew, THIS is the life! He has loved the beach from the time he was a baby.  It was the perfect way to spend his birthday week, since he IS my little surfer dude!

Even though he has been to the beach a few times, Luke is not a fan.  He had to stay on a blanket for a long time before he would even touch the sand! I think it will grow on him.

Drew caught about 20 waves!!

Even Grandad got into the boogie board action!

This was Blake's first time at the ocean.  Unfortunately, at this age, babies tend to eat sand. We let him play with the beach toys on a blanket. . . he still really enjoyed it!

Making sandcastles with the boys is really fun! The tide kept coming in, so we just kept making them.

I am pretty sure, if given the chance, Drew would live at the beach!  This would be his bed. . .

Finally! Luke got comfortable with the sand and wanted to be buried like Drew.  I think we are just going to HAVE to keep coming until he gets use to it!

Happy birthday to you. . . .  Blake was so excited to clap for Drew!  He is really getting involved with the family these days,  it's amazing to watch.

We all enjoyed birthday cake and many laughs as well.  These boys crack us up with their silly antics!                                                                      

 

We are so lucky that Grandad's birthday is close to Drew's. We had a week of celebrating and lots of cake to boot!

Blake had his very first haircut and really needed it!  He was beginning to look a little like Beetlejuice! Thanks to Jennifer for doing such a wonderful job!!

                                All done and looking so HANDSOME!!!

      

There is nothing better than a playground at the beach!  The boys had a chance to get swinging with the smell and sounds of the ocean!
